Nittany Valley Writers Network to meet Oct. 14

STATE COLLEGE — The Nittany Valley Writers Network will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m., in the Schlow Library Community Room, 211 S. Allen St., State College. Writer and book coach, Joshua Dolezal, will discuss his book, “Someday Johnson Creek: Poems from the Idaho Wilderness” and will hold a book signing.
Dolezal’s essays have appeared in more than 50 national magazines, including The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Kenyon Review and The Missouri Review. His memoir, “Down from the Mountaintop: From Belief to Belonging,” was shortlisted for the William Saroyan International Prize. He produces a weekly newsletter, The Recovering Academic, which includes notes on life after academe, exclusive interviews, original creative work and craft resources.
The event is free and open to the public.
