Dogwood Circle Garden Club’s October Garden of the Month winner is Jennifer Walker, 109 W. Main St., Lock Haven. With daughters Lucy and Lane helping with planting and fertilizing, and Greg lending moral support, the Walkers’ front yard is ablaze with zinnias, several species of colorful coleus, mums, black-eyed susan, lavender, hardy geranium and more. The remains of milkweed, now going to seed, can be explained by the action of several monarch butterfly caterpillars.
