SVRCS Senior Socials

SVRCS’s Senior Socials have returned for the 2025-2026 school year. All seniors are welcome to join the second Friday of each month from November through April — exception for February. The program runs from 12:30-2 p.m. in the gym lobby at 236 E. Main St., Loganton, where the life skills students will greet you and be your hosts! Activities, games, snacks and entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment! Come out and enjoy this special time to fellowship and interact with students. No reservation required. Give Back, Feed the Hungry

The Old Corner will be Giving Back to the Haven by Feeding the Hungry on Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This outreach will help anyone in need! Food will be available for the less fortunate, Veterans and anyone who wants to come out to the event!

Chicken BBQ will be served.

TOPS

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is looking for interested participants and guest speakers. Weigh-ins are from 4:30-5 p.m. each Monday afternoon, followed by the business meeting at 5 p.m. TOPS is held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall. Guest speakers are being sought to give a 15-20 minute presentation (or demonstration) on nutrition, forms of exercising or other healthy habits during the meetings. Grief support at Covenant UMC

Community Grief Support meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 6-7 p.m. in the lounge at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. The church has a parking lot next to the building. Use the handicap-accessible entrance. This is an ongoing informal group. Its mission is to provide a circle of compassionate listeners who have lost loved ones and are looking for a safe place to talk or just listen to others’ experience and coping strategies. Two facilitators lead the sessions, Sharon Gensib and Pam Brauchli.
