Thanksgiving Meal
Fairview Church in rural Howard is offering a dine-in, free, Thanksgiving Day meal at the church. Everyone is invited to come to the church between 2-4 p.m. and have a delicious Thanksgiving meal and fellowship with others there.

Helping Hands distribution
Helping Hands at the United Lutheran Church in Lock Haven will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the church behind Kentucky Fried Chicken. Helping Hands helps low income families and senior citizens in Lock Haven and the surrounding communities. Any questions, call Kelly Olmstead at 272-209-5912.
Blood Drives
The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!
Blood drives will be held on the following dates:
Nov. 18, from 12-5:30 p.m., at the American Philatelic Society in Bellefonte.
Dec. 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Avery Dennison in Mill Hall.
Food for thought
Would you like to become a Shoe Bank volunteer? The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank is usually open one Saturday a month, when we have the fun of giving free new shoes to eligible kids and teens. We are looking for more volunteers, including people we can call when we are shorthanded. If you’d like to volunteer or just ask questions about it, please text or call Wendy at 570-295-3443.
New Hope Fellowship Room
New Hope Fellowship has a Fellowship Corner Room at its church at 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. The Fellowship Corner Room is available for your parties, receptions, showers and other small gathering events. The room will seat 60-70 comfortably and offers tables, cushioned chairs, stoves, microwaves, a refrigerator and plenty of counter space and outside parking. Monetary donations are appreciated but are not required for you to use the Fellowship Corner Room. Contact New Hope Fellowship at 570-755-1450 for info.
