Bellefonte offers holiday courtesy parking

Bellefonte will again offer its courtesy parking program for the 2025 holiday season. The first time a parking enforcement officer observes a vehicle with no time on the meter, a complimentary two-hour pass will be issued. If, on a second pass that same day, no time remains and the two hours have expired, a ticket will be issued. Courtesy parking runs from Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, through New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2026.

SVRCS Senior Socials

SVRCS’s Senior Socials have returned for the 2025-2026 school year. All seniors are welcome to join the second Friday of each month from November through April — exception for February. The program runs from 12:30-2 p.m. in the gym lobby at 236 E. Main St., Loganton, where the life skills students will greet you and be your hosts! Activities, games, snacks and entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment! Come out and enjoy this special time to fellowship and interact with students. No reservation required. Questions, contact djeffries@svrcs.org or call 570-367-1351.

A Simple Request

Dogwood Circle Garden Club requests that those smokers who walk through the garden at the triangle and enjoy the flowers please take your cigarette butts with you instead of dropping them on the sidewalk or flicking them into the plantings. We have enough to do in maintaining the gardens and don’t need to pick up after you, too. Nothing is ever “thrown away,” just put somewhere else for others to deal with.
