Covenant Cafe to meet Nov. 11
The Alzheimer’s and Caregivers’ Support Group will meet Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. There is convenient parking next to the church and a handicapped accessible entrance.
Fran Decker, MSW, a geriatric social worker and facilitator of the support group, will give a presentation on the types of dementia and early warning signs of dementia. There will also be a time of sharing concerns about caring for a loved one with a memory loss. Educational materials from the Alzheimer’s Association will be provided. The group is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association and hosted by Covenant United Methodist Church.
Sitter service can be provided to the person with memory loss at the church while caregivers are attending the meeting. Prior arrangements must be made for this service.
