— Holiday Craft Show at the Jersey Shore Elks Lodge, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lodge is located at 203 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Kitchen open for breakfast, lunch and food during the day. Many local craft vendors will be set up selling their wares that will make great Christmas gifts!

— The annual Delta Winter Wonderland Craft & Vendor Fair returns, bringing together local artists, crafters and vendors for an event that helps support the Delta school community.
You’re invited to attend the fair at the Delta school building at 650 Westerly Parkway in State College between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Entry is free and the fair will include all manner of crafts, collectibles, books, jewelry, toys, holiday goods and stocking stuffers.
— Santa and his elves and The Grinch will be at the Wayne Township Nature Park from 2-4 p.m. Bring your cameras for photo ops. Light refreshments will be provided courtesy of the H20 Express, and the Wayne Twp. Supervisors and Rec. Committee. Bring canned food goods and nonperishable food items that will be donated to the local food ban.

— Candlewalk Service at Marsh Creek BIC Church, 6 p.m. Candlewalk participants will be bringing the message of Christmas during the service. The public is invited! Call 814-880-8744 for more info. The church is located along Summit Hill Road, about 7 miles West of Howard.

Spot the elves and have your child complete the entry form and drop it into the contest box. Prizes will be awarded today at 3 p.m. during Santa’s visit.
— Light Up Wayne Township when you enter the House Decorating Contest this year. Decorate your home and then send a message to the Wayne Township Recreation Committee’s Facebook page to be judged, or sign up on the sheet at the McElhattan post office. Judging will be done today between 6-8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top homeowners or businesses.
— Sugar Valley Community Band’s Christmas Concert, 2 p.m., at the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren in Eastville.
MONDAY
— Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution, noon to 3 p.m, at former Beech Creek Elementary. Bring a sturdy box(es) with you. Toys for Tots distribution and turkeys for the Christmas meal will be handed out. If you came already for your food aid this month you will need to return for the turkey.
— Penn State Extension’s workshop, Financial Clutter, will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Ross Library, 3rd Floor Conference Room, Lock Haven. One hour workshop designed to boost your financial wellness by decluttering unnecessary receipts, simplifying recordkeeping and reducing financial stress by using tools for budgeting and taxes. — Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.
— CASH BINGO at St. John’s Catholic School to benefit the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus. Doors open at 6 p.m. with food, plenty of homemade baked goods and dinner items, and small games of chance, with Bingo starting at 7 p.m. The cost to play is $20. The school is a smoke-free facility and walk-ins are welcome to come to play Bingo.

— Helping Hands at the United Lutheran Church in Lock Haven will be held Dec. 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the church behind KFC. — Local groups, businesses or individuals are invited to sponsor a five-foot Christmas tree at the Wayne Township Nature Park. You provide the tree, stand and decorations, and the Nature Park will provide the electricity. Last chance to decorate a tree is today. Judging of the decorated trees will be done at 4 p.m. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded courtesy of First Quality.
— Valerie Wynn, Sweet Sunrise Bakery, will be selling assorted Christmas cookie trays and handcrafted chocolates at Calico Creek on Saturday, Dec. 20 until 4p.m. Prices vary between $1.50 and $35 and will benefit Mountain Mission School, in Grundy, Va. — The Nittany/Sugar Valley, Clintondale and Mackeyville Charge will be performing a wonderful Christmas play called, “The Christmas Dilemma. The play follows when an infant Savior arrives, five ordinary people find their lives upended and forever changed. In this ensemble, the stories of Mary, Joseph, a Wise Man, a Shepherd and the Innkeeper all point to the miraculous birth of Jesus and the impact His life will have on them and the world. The show will be presented at the Clintondale United Methodist Church, 103 Fishing Creek Road, Mill Hall, with shows at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. There is no charge and the event is open to the public.
