Nittany Valley planners seek public input on next year’s priorities

BELLEFONTE — The Nittany Valley Joint Planning Commission has opened a public survey to help identify and rank its priorities for the coming year.

The survey, available through the end of the year, invites residents of Bellefonte Borough and Benner, Marion, Spring and Walker townships to weigh in on which issues should receive focus as the commission works to shape the region’s long-term growth strategy.

Participants will be asked whether the NVJPC in 2026 should review the Regional Implementation Agreement, the Regional Commission bylaws or the goals outlined in the 2019 Adopted Comprehensive Plan.

The survey also asks respondents to consider the importance of future land use, housing options and transportation issues, and to share what related topics they would like more information about.

The NVJPC helps its member communities plan for the future by balancing new development with the preservation of natural resources and quality of life across the Nittany Valley, and residents’ input plays a key role in that work.
