LOCK HAVEN — The Castanea Township Recreation Committee and supervisors have announced food and beverage vendors for the 2nd Annual PA Chestnut Festival.

The festival will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Castanea Picnic Grounds and heated tent, 859 Lower Creek Road, Lock Haven.

Pennsylvania craft brews will be sold by Floating Feathers Brewing Co., of Mill Hall, and Elk Creek Cafe and Ale Works, of Millheim. Meanwhile, those who prefer wine can enjoy items sold by Oregon Hill Winery, who has locations in McElhattan and Morris.

Food options will include WETSU Catering, of Castanea, Farmstead Fusion, of Howard, and Mama Martina’s Authentic Mexican Food Truck, of Lock Haven.

Back again this year will be roasted chestnuts sold by the recreation committee, and s’mores by Cub Scout Pack 66.

“We are really excited to support two local brewing companies and a winery,” said Rick Schulze, chair of the recreation committee. “I think attendees will enjoy the fresh food options, some offering chestnut flavored dishes as well as authentic Mexican dishes.”
