Covenant Cafe to meet Jan. 20

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting on Jan. 20 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

Penny Zener, a member of and pianist at Faith Baptist Church in Blanchard, will be the guest presenter. Penny will talk about a mission trip she took to the Philippines in 2025. She will also play a few hymns for a group Sing Along.

Covenant Cafe volunteer Sharon Davy will lead a winter scene craft and Kitty Oechler will conduct a word game. The session will end with a social time and refreshments.

The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
