JERSEY SHORE — Zara del Rosario, daughter of Jodi and Michael del Rosario, of Jersey Shore, has been selected as the Business and Professional Women Student of the Month for November in recognition of her outstanding leadership, academic achievement and commitment to service.
Throughout her high school career, Zara has been highly involved in both school activities and community service.
As a freshman, she participated in FBLA and soccer.
During her sophomore year, she continued her involvement in FBLA while also joining cheerleading and the Spanish Honor Society.
As a junior, Zara remained active in FBLA and cheerleading, was inducted into the National Honor Society and competed in track and field.
In her senior year, she plans to continue her participation in FBLA, cheerleading, National Honor Society and English Honor Society.
Zara has demonstrated strong leadership within FBLA, training for the secretary position as a freshman, serving as sophomore vice president during her sophomore year and junior vice president in her junior year. Her dedication has also led to competitive success, placing in regionals for Intro to Event Planning as a sophomore and Job Interview as a junior. She also earned her varsity letter in cheerleading during her junior year.
In addition to her school involvement, Zara works part-time at Chick-fil-A and is deeply committed to community service. She has volunteered all four years with Seats for Service Members at Penn State, providing meals for military families, and with Wreaths Across America. She has also volunteered each year at the Boalsburg Military Museum for the Memorial Day remembrance ceremony.
Outside of school, Zara enjoys baking, dancing, traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends. After graduation, she plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in baking and pastry arts and business management.
Zara’s dedication to leadership, service and academic excellence makes her a very deserving recipient of the Business and Professional Women Student of the Month honor.
