Military Share program
Clinton County Veterans Affairs will have their Military Share distribution on Feb. 19 from 9-11 a.m. at the Castanea Fire Company picnic grounds. Military Share distributions are usually held on the third Thursday of each month. Veterans in need of assistance are encouraged to visit the Veterans Service Office at 217 N. Jay St., Lock Haven, or call 570-893-4339.
Blood Drives
The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!
Blood drives will be held as follows:
On Feb. 4, from 12:30-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard Fire Hall.
On Feb. 24, from 12-5:30 p.m., at Watermarke Church, Zion Road, Bellefonte.
Donations needed
Many local cemeteries are struggling with having enough funds to make sure that the grass gets mowed. Whatever cemetery your loved ones are buried in, please consider making a donation now to help with the grass mowing expenses.
