Valentine’s Dinner

Sugar Valley Fire Company is having a Valentine’s Day Wedding Meal Buffet on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 3-6:30 p.m. The Sweetheart Dinner will feature roasted chicken with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed celery, coleslaw, noodles, pies, donuts and ice cream and drinks. The cost is $20 for adults and $12 for children ages 6-12 years. Younger children can eat for free. Take-out meals will also be available. Golden Axe Benefit

A benefit will be held at The Golden Axe in Lock Haven on Feb. 21 for Mike Neff. Neff has undergone a liver transplant and hasn’t been able to work since June. A Scottish Doubles Pool tournament is planned with registration set for 11 a.m. Cost is $30 for each team. Also included will be darts, Cornhole, 50/50 and basket raffle.

Donations of baskets and prizes are needed as well as donations of food for the event. Proceeds from the event will help Mike to pay for anti-rejection medicines and travel expenses for returning to John Hopkins in Baltimore every 10 days for check-ups.

Friendship Community Library

The FCL in Beech Creek is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3-7 p.m. The Library is a division of the Annie Halenbake Ross Library and has an updated collection of books for loan, a variety of programs and tech support. SVRCS Senior Socials

SVRCS’s Senior Socials have returned for the 2025-2026 school year. All seniors are welcome to join the second Friday of each month during March and April. Senior Social is not held in February. The program runs from 12:30-2 p.m. in the gym lobby at 236 E. Main St., Loganton, where the life skills students will greet you and be your hosts! Activities, games, snacks and entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment! Come out and enjoy this special time to fellowship and interact with students. No reservation required.
