Class of 1958

AARP Tax Help

The AARP Foundation is providing free tax assistance and preparation by appointments beginning on Feb. 9 and ending April 6 at the STEP Clinton County Community Center, 124 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. Appointments are required! You may call 570-858-5800 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to schedule an appointment. AARP Tax-Aide provides free tax preparation to low-moderate income individuals or families, with a preference for those over age 50.

Military Share program

Clinton County Veterans Affairs will have their Military Share distribution on Feb. 19 from 9-11 a.m. at the Castanea Fire Company picnic grounds. Military Share distributions are usually held on the third Thursday of each month. Veterans in need of assistance are encouraged to visit the Veterans Service Office at 217 N. Jay St., Lock Haven, or call 570-893-4339.

Blood Drives

The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!

Blood drives will be held as follows:

On Feb. 17, from 12-5:30 p.m., at Wingate Faith Church, Runville Road, Bellefonte.

On Feb. 24, from 12-5:30 p.m., at Watermarke Church, Zion Road, Bellefonte.

On Feb. 27, from 12-4:30 p.m., at the Lock Haven Best Western Hotel, E. Walnut St.

On March 4, from 1-6 p.m., at the Dunnstown Fire Hall

Happy Travelers’ 2026 Trips
