Breakfasts
cancelled
The Farmer’s Breakfast at the Porter Township community building in Lamar on March 7 is being cancelled since a Breakfast Benefit for Ben Stoltzfus is planned for March 21, from 7-11 a.m. The breakfast will include eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrapple, hashbrowns, biscuits and sausage gravy, toast, fruit cocktail, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The cost of each breakfast is $13 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12 and kids 5 and under eat free.
There will not be a breakfast on April 4 because of the Easter weekend.
Genealogical Society
The next meeting of the Clinton County of PA Genealogical Society will take place on Tuesday, March 10, at 7 p.m. in the Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven, Pa. Joby Topper, librarian of the Stevenson Library at Commonwealth University-Lock Haven, will give a presentation on the history of the library and what resources are available for use in genealogical research. The presentation is free to the public.
Bellefonte Fish Fry
Bellefonte Friday Night Fish Fry at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., will be on the following Fridays of Lent: Feb. 27, March 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. Menu includes baked lemon pepper cod (gluten free) or Yuengling beer battered haddock or Panko crusted fried shrimp; choice of three sides, French fries, mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, apple sauce and a homemade dessert. Ala Carte items including Haluski and Pierogies with butter. Eat in or take out are available. The, cash only, cost is $15 for adults, $7 for children under 12, under 6 eat for free. Come experience Centre County’s Largest Fish Fry prepared and served by the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Benefit Bingos
KBR Bingo and More will be hosting benefit Bingos to help individuals and clubs or organizations in our community. Come play Bingo and help to support those in need.
On Feb. 21 the Bingo benefit will help the Mill Hall Elementary School.
Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or by checking the KBR Bingo Facebook page. In addition to the Bingo there is usually a basket raffle, rip tickets and good food!

Lenten Fish Fries
Holy Spirit Parish in Lock Haven will continue to offer their annual “Drive-thru” Lenten Fish Fries beginning on Feb. 20 and continuing every Friday during Lent except Good Friday, from 4-6 p.m., on the grounds of the Parish Center at St. Agnes Church. The menu features Haddock (Yuengling beer battered or baked), mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, bread and dessert. Meals are $17, and individual sides of fish or mac and cheese will be available.
