Monday, Feb. 2
Groundhog Day! Did Punxy Phil see his shadow?
— Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution, noon to 3 p.m., at the former Beech Creek Elementary School. Bring a sturdy box (or boxes) with you.
— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.
Tuesday, Feb. 3
— The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Covenant Cafe volunteer and photographer, Bill Raco, will present a photo show of the Covenant Cafe activities from 2025. Volunteer Sharon Davy will lead a Valentine craft and Kitty Oechler will conduct a drumming exercise. The session will end with a social time and refreshments. Individuals and families who are interested in being involved in this free program which meets the first and third Tuesday are invited to call Fran Decker, MSW, at 570-748-4302 or 570-263-2084 for more info.
— Bellefonte Area School Board meeting at 7 p.m. in the Middle School cafeteria. The public is invited to attend.
— KBR Bingo and More’s Tuesday night Bingo, 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Come join the fun! KBR Bingo is located in the Piper Museum Building with elevator service to the 3rd floor Bingo hall. Call Deb at 570-660-2647 for info.
Wednesday, Feb. 4
— Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting, noon, at the Mill Hall United Presbyterian Church. Anyone who crochets or knits, or if you’d like to see some of the creations our needleworkers have made can come to the church. A light lunch if provided to those who attend. Yarn donations can also be brought to the church during the Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting. Use the ramp to the rear of the church for easy access and plenty of parking.
— Blood Drive, 12:30-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard Fire Hall.
