— Howard Area Lions Club’s Sweetheart Dinner, at noon, at the Howard Fire Hall. Anyone 60 and older living within the Lions servicing area is invited to come and enjoy a sit-down FREE meal.

— Sugar Valley Fire Company is having a Valentine’s Day Wedding Meal Buffet from 3-6:30 p.m. The Sweetheart Dinner will feature roasted chicken with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed celery, coleslaw, noodles, pies, donuts, ice cream and drinks. The cost is $20 for adults and $12 for children ages 6-12 years. Younger children can eat for free. Take-out meals will also be available. Monday, Feb. 16

— Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution, noon to 3 p.m., at the former Beech Creek Elementary. Bring a sturdy box with you for future food distributions. Food distribution is open to residents in the Lions service area of Centre County which includes Howard, Blanchard, Hunter Run, Marsh Creek, Jacksonville, Mount Eagle, Monument and Orviston and the Clinton County area of Beech Creek Borough and BC Township.

— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.
