RAM is seeking volunteers for free healthcare clinic in March
WINGATE — A call for volunteers has been announced for the upcoming free, 2-day healthcare clinic that will be held at the Bald Eagle Area Middle and High School complex on March 28-29.
Remote Area Medical (RAM), a leading nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality dental, vision and medical care to those in need, is seeking volunteer medical, dental and vision professionals and general support staff for its March 28-29 clinic. The two-day clinic is to be held at the Bald Eagle Area Middle and High School, located at 751 S. Eagle Valley Road, Bellefonte, Pa.
RAM is also in need of general support volunteers to help set up on Friday, March 27, and take down on Sunday, March 29. Overnight parking volunteers to greet patients are also needed, and interpreters can volunteer to aid patients through the process, either in the parking lot or during clinic operations. Individuals do not need to work in the medical field to volunteer as general support.
If you or your organization would like to volunteer your time to help provide free healthcare services to the Bellefonte area and surrounding communities, please visit the RAM website at www.ramusa.org/volunteer or call 865-579-1530.
RAM’s free clinics are a lifeline for underserved communities, offering free dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental X-rays, eye exams, eye health exams, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made onsite, women’s health exams and general medical exams. By bringing healthcare directly to those in need, RAM removes the barriers of cost and distance that often prevent people from seeking care.
All RAM services are free, and no ID is required. Free dental, vision and medical services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, until capacity is reached.
