Cemetery

Clean-ups

Any decorations that you want to save on the gravesites at Schenck’s Cemetery in rural Howard or at the Blanchard Baptist Cemetery beside the Liberty Baptist Church should be removed before Cemetery Clean-up begins. Please be sure to remove items from the graves before March 28 as clean-up will begin shortly afterward.

Please refrain from putting any new or Easter decorations on the graves until after the respective clean-ups have been completed.

Breakfast cancelled

The Farmer’s Breakfast at the Porter Township community building in Lamar is being cancelled on April 4 since it’s the Easter holiday weekend.

Bellefonte

Cash Bingo

Cash Bingo will be held at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, to benefit the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus. Doors will be open to the public for food, plenty of homemade baked goods, dinner items and small games of chance at 6 p.m., with Bingo starting at 7 p.m. The cost to play is $20 for 20 games, and the payouts will be $850 each month. Bingos will be held on the second Monday of each month through June.

Bingo dates are April 13, May 11 and June 8.

The school is a smoke-free facility and walk-ins are welcome to come to play Bingo.
