— St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9-11 a.m. No documentation is required. — LHHS Class of 1955 will hold a luncheon at noon at The Shore Diner in Jersey Shore. All classmates and their guests are welcome.

Thursday, March 26

— Hammermill Office Girls reunion luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Pizza City.

— Red Cross Blood Drive, 1-6 p.m., at the Lock Haven Moose Lodge.

— Howard Area Lions Bingo at the Beech Creek Fire Company social hall building. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:30 p.m.

— Milesburg Lions Bingo every Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.

— With decades of experience in trauma, addiction and adolescent health, speakers will provide information during the third annual Shed Some Light medical conference from 7-9:30 p.m. at Williamsport’s Trade and Transit Center, 144 W. Third St.

Shed Some Light is free and open to the public, with donations accepted–to benefit Expectations; the conference is sponsored by J.A.K.S. Realty.

Friday, March 27

— You’re invited to a “Brinner” at Wingate Faith Church. From 4-6:30 p.m., you can enjoy a “Breakfast for Dinner” meal featuring pancakes, sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, fruit salad and drinks. Adult meals will be $12, and $6 for students. Those under age six get to eat free!

If you are celebrating a March birthday, then your meal is Free! (with ID confirmation!)

— Old School Market, former Rote Elementary, at East End Mountain Road, Mill Hall, is open each Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Also, beginning at 5 p.m., will be an auction selling antiques, toys, coins and more.

Saturday, March 28

— Howard Christian Church is having an Easter Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be Easter flowers, gift baskets, crafts, food and more at this bazaar. Homemade ham pot pie will be sold for $10 a quart and can be picked up at the bazaar. Preorders MUST be phoned to or send a text to Sheri at 814-876-2910 before March 24. Also for sale will be homemade donuts, whoopie pies and peanut butter eggs. Proceeds from the bazaar will help the church with their local outreach in helping those in need. The church is located at 367 Walnut St., Howard.

— Centre Hall Fire Company’s Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, 8-11 a.m., at the fire station. $8 for those 13 and older; $5 for children ages 7-12 and free meals for the little tykes. Bring your camera to take photos with the Easter Bunny. The Potter Township Parks and Rec will have an Easter Egg hunt during the breakfast! Bring your basket or bucket to collect candy-filled eggs.

— Haven Performing Arts dancers will be performing at Central Mountain High School today.

Haven has grown this season and now has two dance teams and three twirl teams. The performers are all local youth ranging from the ages of 5-18.

If you are interested in watching these performers do what they love, you can catch them locally at Jersey Shore High School on March 28 or at Bald Eagle Area on April 11.

— Cemetery Clean-ups are happening now that the weather is getting nicer.

Schencks Cemetery Association in Howard Township, Centre County, wants to remind patrons that old and worn decorations must be removed from graves by March 28 for clean-up to begin. Blanchard Baptist Cemetery will also have clean-up soon. Any decorations that you want to keep should be removed prior to the clean-up! Please do not put Easter decorations on the graves until after the clean-ups have been handled.

— Nittany Valley Amish Benefit Dinner at Walker Township Fire Company, noon to 7 p.m. Traditional Amish wedding meal is served. Menu details and pricing is available at Nittany-Valley-Benefit-Dinner Facebook page. To make reservations call Sylvia at 814-810-7959.

— Sugar Valley Vol. Fire Company’s Breakfast Buffet, 6:30-10 a.m., at the fire station. The breakfast meal includes pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs, scrapple, hash browns, donuts, coffee and juice. Meals will be $14 for those 13 and older; $7 for kids 6-12 and free for those age five and under.

— No Kings III Protest and Festival will be held from 12-3 p.m. at Triangle Park in Lock Haven. Anyone from any party can join in this peaceful protest. We will have extra signs and flags for your use.
