MILL HALL -- The Clinton County Conservation District has announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Rich Ramm Memorial Scholarship.
This scholarship was established in memory of Rich Ramm, local farmer and agronomy graduate, who passed away in 1992, and is offered through the Clinton County Community Foundation. The scholarship is awarded annually by the Clinton County Conservation District to support students pursuing education in agriculture, conservation and natural resource related fields.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage local students to continue their education in areas that promote the protection, management and stewardship of natural resources. Graduating high school seniors as well as currently enrolled college, technical school or trade school students who are pursuing studies in agriculture, environmental science, forestry, wildlife, conservation or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
For 2026, a total of $1,858 is available and will be divided between two selected students.
Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application along with a one-page essay describing their involvement in agriculture or natural resources, volunteer or community activities, their educational and career goals and what preserving the environment means to them.
Applications must be received by the Clinton County Conservation District no later than May 8, at 4 p.m.
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Clinton County Conservation District Board Meeting on May 21. Attendance at the meeting is required in order to accept the award. Recipients will be presented with a certificate and may be photographed for District publications.
