LOCK HAVEN — A number of local businesses in downtown Lock Haven are preparing to hold the Lock Haven Eggstravaganza, as the group collaborates on this pre-Easter shopping event.

Participating businesses have all worked together to prepare a large Easter basket full of goodies which will be raffled off.

Items will include donations from local businesses along with gift cards and more, and will be displayed in Giveback Community Thriftstore on Main Street.

Signs downtown will indicate participating businesses in the raffle.

On March 28, customers at these stores will have the opportunity to enter into the raffle each time they purchase items.

Businesses downtown are encouraging participants to shop at multiple locations to increase their chances of taking home the big prize.

Participating businesses will also hide a special egg inside their stores. These eggs may include candy, small prizes, coupons, discounts or freebies. These eggs will be unique and customized to each business.

This is the second year downtown businesses will be holding the Eggstravaganza, offering shoppers the opportunity to enjoy a day out and, perhaps, take home a prize.

Also on deck in downtown Lock Haven is the annual Luck of the Draw.

Participating businesses on March 13 and 14 will offer shoppers a chance to pick a shamrock at checkout to reveal a prize.
