Haven Performing Arts competes at Central Mountain TIA Competition

MILL HALL — Haven Performing Arts wowed the crowd this weekend at the Central Mountain TIA Competition.

Haven Cadet Twirlers were the first to take the floor to perform their show “I Want Candy.” They received a rating of Silver.

Haven Junior Twirlers were next to take the floor to perform their show “Revenge.” They received a score of 65.78.

To wrap up the twirling category, Novice Twirl Team performed their show “I Am Enough” and they received a score of 78.19 which was a 4.53 point increase from their first regular season competition.

Moving onto the dance category, the Junior Dance team performed their show “A Message from Heaven.” They received a score of 78.57.

The last team to take the floor was the Regional A Dance Team who performed their show “Beyond the Fence Line.” They received an astounding score of 82.04, which was a 5.14 point increase.

During the awards, Vanessa Wynn was announced as the TOB/TIA Susquehanna Valley Region’s performer of the week. This award is given to a performer who shows not only talent, but also dedication and hard work. Wynn is part of the Novice Twirl team and Junior Dance team.

To wrap up the evening, Haven seniors were announced during the Senior Night Recognition. The two seniors this year from Haven are Olivia Yerger, part of Novice Twirl, and Layla Hayes, who is part of the Regional A Dance Team.

Haven Performing Arts would like to say thank you to Central Mountain Indoor Groups for hosting a great competition. They would also like to thank Bill Crowell, Budget Artist, for some of the great photos provided.
