Ross Library’s annual Tea Time is a success

LOCK HAVEN -- The annual Tea Time event at the Annie Halenbake Ross Library was once again a wonderful success on Saturday, March 7, bringing the community together for an afternoon of tea, treats and timeless charm.

Organized and hosted by library staff member Zachary Kreamer, the beloved event welcomed guests of all ages to enjoy a traditional tea party atmosphere filled with conversation, laughter and plenty of delicious refreshments.

Guests arrived in their finest tea party attire, with many sporting elegant hats and colorful outfits that added to the festive spirit of the afternoon. For some of the youngest attendees, it was their very first tea party, making the event especially memorable.

The thoughtfully prepared menu featured a variety of classic tea-time favorites.

Guests enjoyed an assortment of finger sandwiches, including cucumber with cream cheese spread, ham salad, pimento cheese, egg salad and peanut butter and jelly.

A wide selection of sweets was also served, including classic scones with clotted cream and jam, shortbread, hummingbird cake, lemon poppy seed muffins, coconut cake, cookies and fruit cake. Assorted black and herbal teas were offered alongside coffee, lemonade and water.

Events like Tea Time are part of the library's ongoing mission to provide welcoming community experiences that bring people together beyond books. With another successful year in the books, the library looks forward to continuing this cherished tradition.
