American Legion Post 442 holds successful chicken fundraiser

The Sons of the American Legion Post 442 in Renovo spent Saturday morning flipping and cooking bar-b-que chicken dinners. The nonprofit group spent most of their day at the American Legion Remembrance Post on Erie Ave. The windy day had the smell and smoke of chicken spreading down and throughout town, leading many people to discover the dinners. Sons of the American Legion member Steve Fantaski provided the setup and, along with two personal volunteers, Keith and Kevin Tripp, were joined by many members of the Sons of the American Legion. All of the chefs and volunteers seemed to have as much fun cooking and serving the dinners as those that stopped in to buy them did.
