The Farmer’s Breakfast at the Porter Township community building in Lamar is being cancelled on April 4 since it’s the Easter holiday weekend.

Class of LHHS/ICHS 1958

The FCL in Beech Creek is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3-7 p.m. The Library is a division of the Annie Halenbake Ross Library and has an updated collection of books for loan, a variety of programs and tech support. Would you like to become a Shoe Bank volunteer? The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank is usually open one Saturday a month, when we have the fun of giving free new shoes to eligible kids and teens. We are looking for more volunteers, including people we can call when we are shorthanded. If you’d like to volunteer or just ask questions about it, please text or call Wendy at 570-295-3443.

Seeking sobriety

Seeking Sobriety, a local AA meeting, meets Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven. Enter through the door at the end of a walkway on the right of the church. The open meeting features rotating topics with a focus on tools and a mindset for getting and staying sober.

Since 2000, Clinton County CleanScapes, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, has organized more than 125 cleanup events, rallying together 4,569 volunteers and cleaning up over 2,432,460 pounds of debris and 13,131 tires from our waterways and landscapes.
