Blood Drives
The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!
Blood drives will be held as follows:
On April 29 and April 30, from 1-6 p.m., at the Lock Haven University Rec. Center.
On April 30, from 12:30-5 p.m., at the Albright United Methodist Church in Loganton.
Benefit Bingos
KBR Bingo and More will be hosting benefit Bingos to help individuals and clubs or organizations in our community. Come play Bingo and help to support those in need.
On April 25, TJ Butler benefit Bingo, #TJTough.
On April 26, the Bingo will help Jeremy Seltzer who is battling cancer.
Class of LHHS/ICHS 1955
LHHS and ICHS Class of 1955 will have their monthly get together on Wednesday, April 29, at 12 p.m. at Brown’s Hill Tavern. All classmates and their guests are invited.
Country Jam
The Back Porch String Band’s Country Jam will be held on Sunday, April 26, from 2-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard fire hall. Country Jam is held the fourth Sunday afternoon of each month except in December. The afternoon of music is free, and those attending should bring a snack to share with others there. A hat is passed for you to contribute a few dollars to thank the Howard Fire Company for allowing the folks to gather there for Country Jam each month.

Bellefonte Cash Bingo
Cash Bingo will be held at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, to benefit the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus. Doors will be open to the public for food, plenty of homemade baked goods, dinner items and small games of chance at 6 p.m., with Bingo starting at 7 p.m. The cost to play is $20 for 20 games, and the payouts will be $850 each month. Bingos will be held on the second Monday of each month through June.
Bingo dates are May 11 and June 8.
The school is a smoke-free facility and walk-ins are welcome to come to play Bingo.
