Old School Market

The Old School Market will be celebrating their 7th Anniversary in April. The market will be open regular hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 24 and again on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be at the same time as the Rote Community Yard Sales. Outside vendors are welcome to set up in the field. If you have any questions, please call 570-660-1231. Remember that The Market has restrooms and an ATM available.

America250PA Walk/Run

Wayne Township will host an America250PA 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 30 at Katie’s Crossing on the Bald Eagle Valley Trail. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race kicking off at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $30 to participate. Those who sign up before May 1 will receive a free t-shirt. Registration may be completed by visiting runsignup.com. This event is sponsored by the township supervisors and recreation committee.

Use headlights in foggy conditions

PennDOT reminds motorists of Pennsylvania’s law requiring moving vehicles to have headlights turned on when visibility is low due to unfavorable conditions, including fog. When driving in fog, low beam headlights should be used since the high beam setting creates glare and further reduces visibility.
