Friday Bingos cancelled
KBR Bingo and More will not be holding their Friday night Bingo during the summer months.
The Friday night Bingos will resume in September, with the first date being announced well beforehand.
In the meantime, you’re welcome to join players on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. for special benefit Bingos to help individuals and groups in our community.

Sponsor a flag
You can honor someone special in the 2026 Flags of Honor display in Lock Haven’s Triangle Park from Memorial Day through Flag Day. Choose a veteran, a first-responder, a teacher, a mentor or America for her 250th birthday. To sponsor a flag at $35 each, send payment and information to Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven, P.O. Box 634, Lock Haven, PA 17745. Include your name, address, phone number and email, as well as the name and wording you would like for your flag plaque. Blood Drives
The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!
Blood drives will be held as follows:
On April 29 and April 30, from 1-6 p.m., at the Lock Haven University Rec. Center.
On April 30, from 12:30-5 p.m., at the Albright United Methodist Church in Loganton.
Friendship Community Library
The FCL in Beech Creek is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3-7 p.m. The Library is a division of the Annie Halenbake Ross Library and has an updated collection of books for loan, a variety of programs and tech support. Donations needed
Many local cemeteries are struggling with having enough funds to make sure that the grass gets mowed. Whatever cemetery your loved ones are buried in, please consider making a donation now to help with the grass mowing expenses.
