MONDAY

— Jersey Shore Area Joint Water Authority will be testing and flushing water hydrants through April 22. The work will be done between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please visit www.jerseyshorewater.com for more info.

— Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station at 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs.

TUESDAY

— Dine to Donate event at Texas Roadhouse in State College. From 3-10 p.m., show a copy of the Wingate Faith Church’s missions flyer to raise money for their trip to North Carolina to help with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. 10% of your bill will go to the missions team if you show a copy or photo on your phone of the flyer to your waitress during your meal.

— Bellefonte Area School Board meeting, 7 p.m., at the Bellefonte Area Middle School cafeteria.

— The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting from 1 to 3 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Guest musicians Wayne Young and Kim Barner will entertain cafe participants on the accordion and guitar. Participants are encouraged to sing along or dance to the music. The group will also celebrate May Day with a dance around the May Pole. The public is invited to enjoy the music from 1 to 2 p.m. Following the entertainment, volunteers will lead the group in making a Mother’s Day craft and a reminiscence activity. Refreshments will be served during a social time.

WEDNESDAY

— St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9-11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460. People may call these numbers at any time for any type of assistance they may need.

THURSDAY

— Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will have the New Love Center’s Mobile Food Pantry at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come get a bountiful and nutritious selection of foods from the pantry to fight food insecurities. Anyone is eligible for the food. This distribution is held at the church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek.

— PA CareerLink Centre County and the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County (CBICC), in partnership with the Borough of State College and Centre County Government, will host the second annual Centre County Spring Job Fair. The event will take place on Thursday, April 23, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at C3 Sports, 200 Ellis Place, State College. This event is expected to bring together over 100 employers and at least 300 job seekers exploring full-time, part-time, seasonal, remote, hybrid, entry-level and experienced roles across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, education, government, technology, hospitality, public safety, construction, manufacturing, transportation, social services, financial services, engineering and more.

— The annual Reunion Dinner for all former and current employees of Community Nursing Service of Clinton County will be held at 6 p.m. at Stella A’s in Lock Haven. For reservations (required by April 20) or more information, call Fran Decker at 570-748-4302.

— Milesburg Lions Bingo every Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.

FRIDAY

— Rote Community Yard Sales.

— Old School Market, former Rote Elementary, at East End Mountain Road, Mill Hall, is open each Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beginning at 5 p.m. there will be a variety auction.

— First United Methodist Church, 236 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, will hold a yard, bake and food sale at the church. The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food sales will include BBQ sandwiches, hot gods and macaroni and cheese. Use the back door of the church entrance!

— Red Cross Blood Drive, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Flemington First Church of Christ.

— Bald Eagle State Park is home to a massive swamp oak with an impressive story. If you want to know the history of the park and how it connects to the largest Swamp White Oak in Pennsylvania, then come and hear the story of this tree. The hour-long program will be offered at two times, 10 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Meet at the Skyline Trailhead for a short hike to visit the tree. Wear shoes ideal for (possibly) muddy terrain.

— The Penns Valley Rams and the Penns Valley Young Farmers will be hosting a Donkey Basketball game at 7 p.m. Doors to Penns Valley High’s new gym will open at 6 p.m. PV Rams will take on the State College Little Lions.

— Wingate Faith Church’s Pasta Dinner, 4-6:30 p.m., to raise funds for the mission team’s trip to North Carolina in July to help with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. — Uptown Music Collective Wraps Up Performance Season with Tribute to ’70s Singer-Songwriters at 7:30 p.m. Uptown Music Collective will close its 25th anniversary performance season with Tapestry: The Music of Carole King and Friends at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center. This performance celebrates Carole King and the circle of songwriters who helped define one of the most influential eras in modern music.

— Uptown Music Collective Wraps Up Performance Season with Tribute to ’70s Singer-Songwriters. Uptown Music Collective will close its 25th anniversary performance season with Tapestry: The Music of Carole King and Friends at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. This performance celebrates Carole King and the circle of songwriters who helped define one of the most influential eras in modern music. This performance will feature the Collective’s “senior night” ceremony, which honors and recognizes those graduating seniors who will move on to college and away from the UMC in the fall.

— Friends of the Egg Hill Church in Spring Mills are hosting a Spring Homecoming Service at 2 p.m. at the church. Everyone is invited to attend. A free-will offering will be taken to help with the needed repairs. — Back Porch String Band’s County Jam will be held at the Howard Fire Hall from 2-6 p.m. Bring your instrument and play along, or just come for the afternoon of free music.
