Free new shoes for kids, teens Saturday, April 18

LOCK HAVEN — The Shoe Bank will give free new sneakers or other shoes to eligible kids and teens Saturday, April 18, inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

The Shoe Bank is open by appointment only, usually once a month. Next month, the date is Saturday, May 9, a bit earlier than usual. Then the next date scheduled is Saturday, Aug. 15. (There are no dates in June or July.)

Little ones through high school teens are eligible if their families live anywhere in Clinton County or the Liberty-Curtin School attendance area. The family must have an active Compass app or a Compass paper. Those who don’t have Compass may be referred by an agency, a church, or another organization.

Kids and teens may choose a pair of new shoes, new socks and books to own, plus a sweet treat.

Everything is free.
