BREAKFAST & BASKET BENEFIT

Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club is having a breakfast tomorrow, April 18, from 7-11 a.m. The all you can eat, hardy breakfast is just $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12 years. Younger kiddos get to eat free. The SVBTMC offers a breakfast each month so the club can help people in the community who are going through some critical hardships or organizations who need a little help with raising funds to continue their causes.

During the breakfasts there are basket benefits held to help others. This month the basket raffle proceeds will go to help Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue, Inc.

Baskets are needed to raise funds to help the animals this month. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle, the basket raffle and the special door prizes will help to cover veterinary bills, emergency medical care, food, litter and other animal rescue expenses.

SVBTMC is located at 84 Harley Drive, (Woolrich), Lock Haven. For more info on the club, call Brad Darby at 570-295-6577 or visit the club’s Facebook page.

FREE CLOTHES AT BEA

Clothes for the Community will be holding an event at the Bald Eagle Area Middle/High School tomorrow, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and again on Sunday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All clothing, shoes and accessories are free.

Donations for the event may be dropped off at the school after 4 p.m. today. If you are able to pre-sort and label donations by sizes, it would be greatly appreciated but is not required.

Volunteers are encouraged to come to the school at 4 p.m. today, to help set up and organize the donated items on the tables and clothes racks and also help with bagging things up at the end of the event on Sunday afternoon. Anyone can come and select items free of charge during the give away hours. Follow their Facebook page for more information and to volunteer.

Clothes for the Community began as Hannah Trigg’s 4-H Diamond Award project. It was originally intended for it to be a one-time event in July 2023. April’s upcoming event will be our eighth clothing giveaway. We are grateful for the community’s support so we are able to continue holding these events.
