The day began at BHE GT&S, where class members explored energy infrastructure operations and gained insight into the critical role natural gas plays in regional and national energy systems, along with our local economy.

The group then visited Bucktail Medical Center, where they enjoyed lunch and heard from CEO Laura Murnyack about the challenges and opportunities facing rural healthcare. The tour provided a deeper understanding of how the facility serves the community and adapts to evolving healthcare needs.

The final stop of the day brought participants to the Western Clinton County Municipal Authority, where they learned about water and wastewater management systems and the importance of maintaining essential infrastructure for public health and environmental sustainability.

Tour Day is a cornerstone of the Leadership Clinton County program, designed to connect participants with the people, organizations and systems that shape the community. Through hands-on experiences and direct interaction with local leaders, participants gain a broader perspective on the opportunities and challenges within Clinton County.
