FLEMINGTON — On Wednesday, April 22, The Lock Haven Christian Women’s Connection will enjoy the “On Eagle’s Wings” luncheon. The lunch and program will be held at the Flemington Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Flemington. The programs for this year have been planned with historical or patriotic themes to honor our nation’s birthday. Therefore, the theme of April’s program is” On Eagle’s Wings.” There is always good food, lots of fun, door prizes, music from gifted vocalists and inspiring speakers that help inform and encourage ladies to make a most memorable day.

The special Feature for April is entitled “The Majestic Symbol” which is a presentation by photo artist Cecil Houser, who specializes in pictures of eagles.

The special music guests are most often soloists who are well known in the area and thoroughly enjoyed by local audiences. April’s guest is Christa Hamilton who usually performs for the group once a year. Mrs. Hamilton has a lovely voice and her choice of music is always delightful.

Speaking on April 22 will be Dawn Loken. Her talk focuses on “Pursuing Life’s Passion–The Journey of The Heart.”

The program begins at 11:50 a.m. The cost of $17 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking. All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.

This is a perfectly good time to meet new friends and catch up with long -time friends. The luncheon is a warm and welcoming way to renew and refresh. Again the date for Christian Women’s Luncheon is April 22. The group is asking all who plan to attend to make reservations. Dates for Christian Women’s luncheons throughout the rest of the year are: June 24, Sept. 9, Oct. 28 and Dec. 9.
