Rally at the Shore Pickleball Tournament comes to Jersey Shore on May 17
JERSEY SHORE — The Jersey Shore Branch YMCA, in partnership with the Jersey Shore Recreation Committee, is excited to announce the 1st Annual “Rally at the Shore” Pickleball Tournament, taking place on Saturday, May 16 at 9 a.m. at the Thompson Street Outdoor Pickleball Courts. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 17.
This community-focused doubles tournament welcomes players of all skill levels and emphasizes friendly competition, sportsmanship and connection. The event will feature a round-robin pool play format, guaranteeing multiple games for each team.
Participants will compete in age-based divisions (50 and Below and 51 and Above), with matches being self-officiated to encourage a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Players are asked to bring their own equipment and outdoor seating.
Registration is open now through Wednesday, May 13, with an entry fee of $35 per team.
Tournament organizers note that the format may be adjusted as needed to best suit the number of participants and ensure a positive experience for all players.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Jersey Shore Branch YMCA and the Jersey Shore Recreation Committee, supporting local programs and community recreation initiatives.
“We’re excited to bring a fun, inclusive event like this to the community,” said organizers. “Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or just looking to get active and meet new people, this tournament is a great opportunity to get involved.”
