Bingo fundraiser
A Bingo fundraiser benefiting the A/337 Forward Support Co., PA Army National Guard Soldier and Family Readiness Group will be held Saturday, May 16, at the Piper Museum to support soldiers and their families. Doors open at 11 a.m., with bingo beginning at 1 p.m. The event will also feature a Chinese auction, RIP tickets, 50/50 drawings, four special games, prizes and food. There are 300 seats available. Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door. The event is handicap accessible. The fundraiser will take place on the third floor of the Piper Museum, 1 Piper Way, Lock Haven. Artisans
A Memorial Day weekend art show and sale will be held at 145 Railroad St, Cammal on May 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 24 from 12 to 4 p.m. Local artists work including graphite, wildlife art, jewelry, pottery, soaps, candles, needle felting, live edge wood, laser cut wood, plush critters, wine bottle wind chimes, notecards and more. The event is free to enter. Cash or checks are accepted for purchasing items.
Class of 1958
Lock Haven High School and Immaculate Conception High School Class of 1958 will hold their monthly get together on May 21 at 1 p.m. at Haywood’s on the Green in Mill Hall. Questions, call 570-660-0134.
Scholarship offered
All 2026 graduating high school seniors living in Flemington Borough who are planning to continue their education after graduation can apply for a scholarship being offered by the Flemington Hi-Neighbor Committee. Applications and guidelines are available by calling 570-772-5558, 570-660-7431 or 570-748-6694. Leave a message and a return call will be made to arrange delivery of an application and guidelines. The application deadline is Friday, May 22. Winning applicants will be notified by Tuesday, May 26.
Country Jam
The Back Porch String Band’s Country Jam will be held on Sunday, May 24, from 2-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard fire hall. Country Jam is held the fourth Sunday afternoon of each month except in December. The afternoon of music is free, and those attending should bring a snack to share with others there. A hat is passed for you to contribute a few dollars to thank the Howard Fire Company for allowing the folks to gather there for Country Jam each month.
