Class of 1961

BEN Class of 1961 will hold their monthly luncheon on Thursday, May 14, at 11:30 a.m., at Haywood’s on The Green in Mill Hall. Final plans for the 65th reunion will be made. All classmates and guests are invited.

Class Reunion luncheon

LHHS Class of 1952 will have their monthly luncheon on Wednesday, May 20, at 12 noon, at Restless Oaks. All members and guests invited.

Help Dogwood Circle

Dogwood Circle Garden Club invites those who walk and enjoy our Triangle Garden in front of the post office, to help the club keep up the loveliness of it! Thank you for not littering the area with candy wrappers and cigarette butts.

Cleaning and planting the gardens has already taken place to celebrate “250.” Again, we appreciate your diligence during our summer project.

Blood Drives

The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!

Blood drives will be held as follows:

May 14, from 12-5:30 p.m., at American Philatelic Society, Bellefonte.

May 18, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Penn Stater Hotel, University Park.

May 21, from 1-6 p.m., at the Lock Haven Moose, 150 S. Hanna St.

May 29, from 12-4:30 p.m., at the Lock Haven American Legion Post 131, Grove St.

June 5, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Lock Haven YMCA

Class of 1959

The Lock Haven High School and Immaculate Conception High School Classes of 1959 will hold a luncheon on May 20 at 12 p.m. at Brown’s Hill Tavern, near Interstate 80 at Lamar. All classmates and guests are welcome.

Bingo Fundraiser

A Cash Bingo Fundraiser for Stephanie Mills is scheduled for July 18 at KBR Bingo and More, 1 Piper Way, Lock Haven. Tickets cost $20 with doors opening at 11 a.m. and Bingo starting at 1 p.m. The event will feature a 50/50 drawing, Chinese auction, raffles and food.
