Many local cemeteries are struggling with having enough funds to make sure that the grass gets mowed. Whatever cemetery your loved ones are buried in, please consider making a donation now to help with the grass mowing expenses.
Join Flemington Hi-Neighbor
The Flemington Hi-Neighbor Committee is looking for new members. They are an all volunteer non-profit group with a goal to provide events for the community. They sponsor a carnival in the spring, flowers for the park, fundraisers, Christmas events and an Easter egg hunt and also help a local church with their Senior Thanksgiving Dinner. They always welcome new suggestions. The Hi-Neighbors meet the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Flemington Borough Office during fall to spring and at the Flemington Park during spring and summer months, weather permitting. Children’s books needed
The Downtown Lock Haven Rotary is looking for children’s books to put into the Little Red Libraries that are located in six parks in the city. If you have children’s books to donate, please call Diahann G. Claghorn at 814-571-5324 to arrange pickups or drop offs of the books.
