A Memorial Day weekend art show and sale will be held at 145 Railroad St., Cammal, on May 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 24 from 12 to 4 p.m. Local artists works including graphite, wildlife art, jewelry, pottery, soaps, candles, needle felting, live edge wood, laser cut wood, plush critters, wine bottle wind chimes, notecards and more. The event is free to enter. Cash or checks are accepted for purchasing items.

America250PA Walk/Run

Wayne Township will host an America250PA 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 30, at Katie’s Crossing on the Bald Eagle Valley Trail. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race kicking off at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $30 to participate. Registration may be completed by visiting runsignup.com. This event is sponsored by the Wayne Township supervisors and recreation committee.

Class of 1958

Lock Haven High School and Immaculate Conception High School Classes of 1958 will hold their monthly get together on May 21 at 1 p.m. at Haywood’s on the Green in Mill Hall. Questions, call 570-660-0134.

Help Helping Hands Help Others

Helping Hands at United Lutheran Church is a non profit program that helps low income families and senior citizens with items such as toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, laundry care, cleaning items and more. They are located at the United Lutheran Church in Lock Haven, behind Kentucky Fried Chicken. They are asking for donations to keep the doors open. Any questions, please feel free to call Kelly Olmstead at 272-209-5912. Donations of any items (or financial support for us to buy items) will be a tremendous help for the program.

New Hope Fellowship Room

New Hope Fellowship has a Fellowship Corner Room at its church at 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. The Fellowship Corner Room is available for your parties, receptions, showers and other small gathering events. The room will seat 60-70 comfortably and offers tables, cushioned chairs, stoves, microwaves, a refrigerator and plenty of counter space and outside parking. Monetary donations are appreciated but are not required for you to use the Fellowship Corner Room. Contact New Hope Fellowship at 570-755-1450 for info.

Donations needed

Roads to Peace is in need of: toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, 12 gallon garbage bags, hand and dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, razors, shaving cream, face wash, deodorant, gently used cutlery, pots/pans, bottled water, juice boxes, easy to prepare meals and snacks, dish sets and unused bedding. Outdoor toys for children, such as balls, sidewalk chalk and bubbles are also needed for the summer months of play.
