Summer
Library
Program
Porter Township Community Library will be having their Summer Library program on Tuesdays in June, (June 9, 16 and 23) from 9-11 a.m., at the library. The June 30 session will be a picnic held at Recreation Park. Stories, activities, crafts, games, snacks and book selections will be provided with a guest reader each week. Shop Hop
The Clinton Piecemakers Quilt Guild has a few bus seats available for their Fabric Shop Hop to Lancaster County, Pa., on June 3. The price is $40. For more information, call Linda at 570-660-1252.
Help for you
Do you need help with small repairs, painting, lawn work, weatherization, house cleaning? It’s time to apply for a One Family at a Time crew! Friday Bingos cancelled
KBR Bingo and More will not be holding their Friday night Bingo during the summer months.
The Friday night Bingos will resume in September, with the first date being announced well beforehand.
In the meantime, you’re welcome to join players on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. for special benefit Bingos to help individuals and groups in our community.

Country Jam
The Back Porch String Band’s Country Jam will be held on Sunday, May 24, from 2-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard fire hall. Country Jam is held the fourth Sunday afternoon of each month except in December. The afternoon of music is free, and those attending should bring a snack to share with others there. A hat is passed for you to contribute a few dollars to thank the Howard Fire Company for allowing the folks to gather there for Country Jam each month.
