St. Paul Food Pantry

St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460. People may call these numbers at any time for any type of assistance they may need.

News Survey

Press Forward Pennsylvania Wilds is offering residents the opportunity to provide critical information about how you consume your news through the following survey: tinyurl.com/PFPAWilds. Press Forward works to reverse the decline of local news, with its local chapter located in Centre County. It works across the nine counties in the PA Wilds region and has partnered with Branchhead Consulting and the Lenfest Institute for Journalism for this research. TOPS

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is looking for interested participants and guest speakers. Weigh-ins are from 4:30-5 p.m. each Monday afternoon, followed by the business meeting at 5 p.m. TOPS is held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall. Guest speakers are being sought to give a 15-20 minute presentation (or demonstration) on nutrition, forms of exercising or other healthy habits during the meetings. Join Flemington Hi-Neighbor

The Flemington Hi-Neighbor Committee is looking for new members. They are an all volunteer non-profit group with a goal to provide events for the community. They sponsor a carnival in the spring, flowers for the park, fundraisers, Christmas events and an Easter egg hunt and also help a local church with their Senior Thanksgiving Dinner. They always welcome new suggestions. The Hi-Neighbors meet the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Flemington Borough Office during fall to spring and at the Flemington Park during spring and summer months, weather permitting. If you have old photos of people, places or happenings that you’d like to share, please scan and email them to news@lockhaven.com along with your contact name/phone so we can obtain additional information from you about the photo. Or, stop by The Express office in Lock Haven with your old photos for us to scan and make some notes about the photos.
