Howard Area Lions Club offers medical equipment to people who need it, free of charge. Perhaps you’re in need of a cane, crutches, a walker, shower chair, a bedside potty or even a hospital bed, give the Lions a call. Garden of the Month
Dogwood Circle Garden Club will be accepting nominations for their June Garden of the month winner. Submit your nomination by Facebook or by calling Barbara, at 570-660-5755, who will be the judge for the June award.
Gardens are judged for color, variety, neatness, curb appeal and must be viewable from a public road or alley.
Yard Sales
Mill Hall Borough will hold its community wide yard sales on May 29 and 30.
America250PA Walk/Run
Wayne Township will host an America250PA 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 30, at Katie’s Crossing on the Bald Eagle Valley Trail. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race kicking off at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $30 to participate. Registration may be completed by visiting runsignup.com. This event is sponsored by the Wayne Township supervisors and recreation committee.
Genealogical Meeting
Clinton County Genealogical Society Meeting is scheduled for June 9 at 7 p.m. Nancy McCurdy of the Lycoming County Genealogical Society will present DNA results: How they relate to your genealogy and how to use them in your research. Nancy requests that your questions be sent to her prior to the meeting if possible. Please email any questions to ccgensoc.1998@gmail.com. Presentations are open to the public and you do not need to be a member to attend. The meeting and presentation will take place at the Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven.
Walk with Me Centre County
Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania will host its sixth annual “Walk with Me Centre County” at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Penn’s Prairie Park, 2400 Upper Brush Valley Road. The community is invited to walk, stroll or wheel a one-mile course in support of individuals living with disabilities. Proceeds benefit Easterseals programs, including services at its Child Development Center in State College.
