KBR Bingo

Benefits

KBR Bingo & More will be hosting benefit Bingos this weekend at the Bingo hall in the Piper Museum, Lock Haven. The Bingo hall is on the 3rd floor with elevator access. On Saturday, May 30, the Bingo will benefit David Stoltzfus, the Amish man who lost his family and home in April. There will also be a BBQ Chicken meal and other food options like hot dogs, sloppy Joe’s, homemade pies, cupcakes, whoopee pies and more to choose from.

On Sunday, May 31, the Bingo will benefit Colette Karstetter in her battle against ovarian cancer. Colette is currently taking chemo treatments in State College and the travel expenses and other related costs are really adding up, so this benefit will help Colette. Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo games begin at 1 p.m. There’s also 50/50 and rip tickets along with a basket raffle to help raise funds. Tickets are available at the door. Porter Township 5K Cancelled

The Porter Township Heritage Festival Committee is sad to announce that the 10th annual 5K Walk-Run has been cancelled due to light participation sign-ups. Hopefully we will be able to have the 5K Walk-Run next spring.

Porter Township’s Heritage Day Festival is set for June 13, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Recreation Park in Lamar. Call Larry Butler at 570-726-6635 for more info.

Summer Library Program

Porter Township Community Library will be having their Summer Library program on Tuesdays in June, (June 9, 16 and 23) from 9-11 a.m., at the library. The June 30 session will be a picnic held at Recreation Park. Stories, activities, crafts, games, snacks and book selections will be provided with a guest reader each week. 60th Reunion

The Bald Eagle Area High School Class of ’66 will celebrate its 60th reunion on July 25, 2026. All class members and a guest are invited to attend. For details and RSVP information, please call 814-353-0373 (leave a message). Reservations must be received by June 26.

Blood Drives

The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!
