Covenant Cafe to meet Friday, May 15, due to Primary Election

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting on Friday, May 15, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the STEP Office of Aging, 124 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven.

The meeting has been rescheduled from the original date of Tuesday, May 19, due to Election Day and moved to the local Senior Center where they will participate in the Music Jam with the Twisted Racquet Tears. The group will resume their regular schedule at Covenant United Methodist Church in June.

The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
