Covenant Cafe to meet May 5

LOCK HAVEN -- The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, will be meeting on Tuesday, May 5, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

The group will participate in a Kentucky Derby horse race and will also be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a Mexican Hat dance and walking tacos for refreshments.

The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer's Support Group and the Alzheimer's Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
