Fish for Free Day is this Sunday across the state

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission reminds residents that Sunday, May 24, will be a Fish for Free Day across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. On this day, anyone can legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways without needing a fishing license. It’s a great opportunity for families, kids and first-time anglers to get outdoors and enjoy the start of the summer season. While no license is required for the day, all other fishing regulations, seasons and size limits still apply. Whether you’re casting a line along the Susquehanna River, spending the day at Bald Eagle State Park or visiting your favorite local creek, officials encourage everyone to fish safely and responsibly.
