Haven Performing Arts wins big in Wildwood

LOCK HAVEN — A few weeks ago, 36 performers and their families and friends from Haven Performing Arts traveled to Wildwood, N.J., for the Tournament Indoor Association Atlantic Coast Championships.
The first two teams to compete were the Regional A Dance Team and Novice Twirl team during the preliminary round. Regional A Dance went into finals sitting in second place, and Novice Twirl in first place.
The next day, the younger teams had their finals.
Cadet Twirl, led by Jacque Newlen, came home with a Gold rating.
The Junior Twirl Team, led by Lea Kline, went from fourth place to third, earning them the bronze medal, and had a 7-point increase in their score. Their final score was 86.14.
The Junior Dance team, led by Jade Stasko and Courtney Rager, finished in second place earning them a silver medal. Their final score was 92.09.
On finals day, the Regional A Dance Team, being led by Megan Marino, Rachael Hanley and Erin Hearn, finished in second place earning the silver medal. Their final score for the season was 88.27.
The Novice Twirl group, led by coaches Marissa Allen and Halie Engel, came home as the 2026 TIA Atlantic Coast Champions. Their final score was 89.85, and they brought home their winning banner.
Haven would like to thank all the people in the community and businesses that have made this possible by helping them through their many fundraisers. These teams would not be successful without the support of the community.

Registration for the 2027 season will be held Aug. 14 and Sept. 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Level Up Hoops, 305 Beech Creek Ave., Mill Hall.
