Jersey Shore Summer Recreation receives $1,000 grant

The Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., d/b/a Cremation Society of North Central Pennsylvania, 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, presented the Jersey Shore Summer Recreation department with a $1,000 grant on behalf of the funeral home and the Matthew’s Children’s Foundation. The Matthew’s Children’s Foundation is a non-profit organization funded by the Matthews Aurora Funeral Solutions and Matthews Cemetery Products, organized in Pittsburgh, where a donation in memory of the deceased is made to the Matthew’s Children’s Foundation with a purchase of a Matthews/Aurora casket at a participating funeral home. The Matthew’s Children’s Foundation grants that money to local nonprofit children’s organizations whose sole purpose is to support children. To date, over $5 million has been awarded to children’s charities across the country.
