The Gross Community Room was the site on May 19, for the Colonel Hugh White / Colonel John Chatham chapter of NSDAR Patriotic Tea honoring America 250. Members invited guests to share the afternoon drinking tea, eating sweets and sharing special memories of a treasured teacup or teapot. Bonnie Hannis was the guest speaker for the event. Bonnie’s topic was salt, a highly prized commodity during Revolutionary War times and throughout the ages. Another highlight was the display of Revolutionary War attire, borrowed from Colonial Williamsburg, Va.
