LAMAR — The Northeast Fishery Center will hold its annual Catch-And-Release event on Saturday, May 30.

The event is for children ages 12 and under and will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 308 Washington Ave., Lamar.

Kids can try fishing with the help of friendly staff and volunteers, view electro-fishing demonstrations and create fish-print art.

The event is great for beginners and families, with a parent or guardian expected to accompany their children. Fishing gear and bait are provided.
